Before you share that GTA VI headline, check these things.

Check the source before you share: an original Leonida Insider guide to reading GTA VI headlines

To check a GTA VI headline, find the original source, check its date and platform, and separate what is confirmed from interpretation.

A screenshot can travel much further than the announcement behind it. Before you pass a claim along, take a minute to find what it actually rests on.

1. Find the original statement.

Follow the link back to the publisher or platform announcement. If a post only points to another repost, the claim still needs checking. Start with Rockstar’s GTA VI page and Rockstar Newswire.

2. Check when it was published.

Old announcements often circulate again without their original date. Look for a newer update before treating an old release window or feature claim as current.

3. Check the platform and the wording.

A statement about one console does not establish the same thing for every platform. Read what is explicitly confirmed, and separate that from what a post assumes.

4. Keep observations separate from promises.

Something visible in a trailer can be interesting without proving a playable mechanic. Say what you noticed, link the original, and label your interpretation clearly.

5. Leave room for a correction.

Save the source alongside the claim. When information changes, it is easier to update your understanding and the people you shared it with.
